Run APA Like a Business
With my nearly ten (10) years of experience serving on the IT Steering Committee, I have successfully delivered numerous projects supporting both APA staff, APA Members. In addition, I have successfully built consensus and leveraged relationships within APA, within other unions and pilot groups, and within American Airlines to advance the priorities of the association.
I am focused on bringing my experience from my time spent in the corporate world, championing transparency and performance, to include:
Clear financial reporting: Upgrade our current accounting systems to provide easier-to-read financial reports in near real-time.
Project-based reporting: Implement new solutions to track funds allocated to specific projects within APA. This will allow us to better judge both the cost estimation and return on investment (ROI).
Run APA Like a Business: We are a large organization serving a growing membership. We need to leverage best industry practices when practical.
Return on Investment: Regularly review and report on projects and programs to ensure they are meeting the set goals and are delivering the projected value to the membership through defined benchmarks and metrics.
Adjust and Improve: Based on lessons learned, supported by analytics, continue to adjust future strategies to meet the desired ROI.
